Box Hill Institute

As part of my role at BHI, I explore Game Based Learning (GBL) and the different ways this can be used to engage and be embedded into core learning delivery within the ICT courses. Some were based on game show models, some were VR based solutions.

Some of these game engines were created to simulate individual and collaborative scenarios of everyday situations or tasks. While we are in the process of preparing today’s student for the workplace of tomorrow, these simulations can replicate typical professional situations, and provide alternative approaches which are protected from negative consequences in real life.

University of Melbourne

I was the Senior Instructional Designer for “The Melbourne Online project”, which was a major strategic initiative at the University introducing an online education delivery model.

As part of this program, I worked with the Melbourne Online project team and the Digital Products Portfolio Change practice team to deliver solutions which lifted engagement, simplified processes and improved overall constituent experience across the University, ensuring eLearning courses are Accessible (WCAG 2.3) and met the Learning Management System (ELMO/TrainMe) standards.

These SCORM lessons were for our OneCRM/Salesforce implementation and had both System Simulations, Theory Content and Knowledge Checks.
